These are rock stacks that have been built in the river. 

Last night there was a great sunset too.

Fields of Flowers

Driving to or from Breitenbush on the back roads 

through  the charming towns of Mt. Angel and Silverton,  

you might be rewarded with colorful sights

 

   

Tree Growth

The top photo was taken this Spring and the bottom photo was taken in 1986 

or '87 just after the totem pole was made at Breitenbush and put in place. 

First the totem pole dwarfed the small trees but not now.
